Visited God's N Window in Afrika

His name is God's N Window (Window of God). At the end of the story of The Gods Must Be Crazy, Xi believes the world has reached the `edge 'of arriving at God's Window. This is the top of the cliff with a layer of clouds and fog that covered the landscape beneath. Xi threw a drink bottle from the top of the cliff.
Still remember the closing scenes of the film which tells the story of innocence Xi, tribal population in Mount Kalahari, Africa? Xi felt bottle that fell on the village is Gods gift. Because the bottle to bring trouble, he searched the world `edge 'to return the actual soft drink bottle thrown by a pilot of the plane.
God's Window located in the area of tourism in Mpumalanga Province, South Africa (South Africa). I had visited this place on the sidelines of activities covering the World Cup. God's Window is one of the tourist sights are located not far from the small town of Graskop. It takes about 5-7 hours drive from Johannesburg to this small town.
There are several tourist attractions located nearby and not far from Graskop. These places are named after the Panorama Route. Located alongside the Blyde River Canyon nature reserve. Panorama Route is a region north of the Drakensberg Mountains, which stretch 100 km from Mpumalanga and KwaZulu Natal in South Africa until the country Lesotho.
Panorama Route is one of the famous tourist destinations in South Africa. The uniqueness of this place are the plants that live on rocky cliffs remain green when winter arrives. At the same time, other areas because of yellowing plants wilt.
God's Window is where the most famous Panorama Route. The strategic location makes God's Window visited more than two other places adjacent: Pinnacle Rock and Wonder View. Only in God's Window of the visitors entrance is free of charge at 10 rand (about USD 12 thousand), whereas at Pinnacle Rock and Wonder View we do not have to pay.
From God's Window, we can see the Kruger National Park and Mozambique, a distance of 100 km from the venue. As far as the eye could see, pine forests and green shrubs unfold. This scene - plus fog and clouds that sometimes blanketed-the reason why this place is called God's Window.
We have to travel more than 110 km from the capital of Mpumalanga, Nelspruit. The pathway that I take are passing through the province, R40, through the small town of White River and Hazyview.Between White River and Hazyview which is about 50 km, humble pine forests and banana plantations.
From Hazyview, we can take the R 535 road towards Graskop. On either side of the road along the 35 km, we can enjoy the beauty of pine forest and stopped at several tourist spots before arriving at God's Window.
The beauty of the cliffs The first place I visited was the Graskop Gorge (Ravine Graskop). In this place we can see the beauty of the cliff with a waterfall that is named Panorama Fall. When I arrived, the water discharge in Panorama Fall is very small so it does not deserve to be called a waterfall. More like a spring that much out of the sides of mountains or high land in Indonesia.
Managing this place provides a vehicle which can stimulate adrenaline, which glide across the ravine with ropes to reach the cliffs on the other side. We know him by name flying fox. Also provided by the bar to relax and places selling typical South African souvenirs.
Only about two kilometers from the Graskop Gorge, I arrived at Pinnacle Rock. In this place there is a similar stone tower (Pinnacle) as high as 30 meters from the valley below. We can not look away because it obstructed the cliff. However, if you want to go looking for a better side, we can get a broader view. But, beyond this unique stone, the view at Pinnacle Rock is very unusual for me.
After Pinnacle Rock, then we reach God's Window. After paying, the car was parked right in front of a row of souvenir sellers. This place is much more green and orderly than the two previous places. There are two small roads, each of which is used for entry and exit. Plus the cool highlands of small leafy trees that flank either side of the road make the journey comfortable.
I can towards the summit because of the time mepet and light rain. I can only see the natural beauty of the two sides of the cliff is only about 100 yards from the car park. In fact, it is said, the most beautiful scenery is reflected in the highest peak of God's Window - which is roughly located at an altitude of 1892 meters above sea level. For those who want to the summit, it is advisable to be careful, especially when it rains, because the path which must be passed usually slippery.
On two sides of the cliff that I singgahi, managers make a small stage and wooden guardrail. The goal is to maintain the security of the visitors. Unlike the previous two places, quite a lot of visitors after another into God's Window. On average, they take pictures with the background of cliffs and the valley below.
For me, the beauty of the scenery of some upland areas in Indonesia is still better than God's Window. However, when compared with some other sights sights that I can visit in South Africa, God's Window deserve the first rank.
Mpumalanga Province known tourist paradise because of its natural beauty. However, for me, a variety of natural beauty offered by the province is an area of 79,490 km2, still less than the area of tourism in Indonesia.
In Mpumalanga, the local government is indulging newcomers as well as empowering the local community. It's hard to find poor road access to tourist attractions. Cleanliness is also very guarded. Appeal to maintain cleanliness on display at various places. We're not entirely difficult to find a toilet cleaner. I did not find any dirty toilet smelled of urine, either in the Panorama Route and in other tourist attractions in Mpumalanga, such as Kruger National Park.
No one is disturbing. The traders sell their merchandise in an orderly manner and not forced though sometimes offer the goods with high price. "The money you spend supports the continuity of the life of the traders who are residents around," so wrote an announcement that I read in God's Window.
